About Gairloch area
Our recommended accommodation in the Gairloch area extends along the Wester Ross coast from the sheltered bay of Badachro, to the south of Gairloch, up to the village of Laide, which is just a few miles north of the famous Inverewe gardens. We love this part of Scotland for its magnificent scenery, stunning beaches and community spirit.
If you are a fan of the outdoors and wilderness, you will fall in love with Gairloch. Within 30 minutes drive, you can explore the Beinn Eighe Nature Reserve where there are beautiful trails through forests of native Scots Pines. For more energetic hikes, you can climb the “Horns” of Beinn Alligin or follow the path that takes you along the Beinn Eighe ridge. Mike helped to build some of these paths so knows the area well.
